Gran actuación de los hermanos Segel, Constanza y Patricio en el campeonato mundial World O´PEN CUP 2008 realizado los días 19 al 21 de este mes de Julio en Morbihan - Francia. Constanza Seguel obtuvo el título de Campeona Mundial en categoría damas superando a competidoras Francesa, Holandesas e Italianas. En la Clasificación general Connstanza Seguel obtuvo el segundo lugar adjudicándose el bicampeonato mundial de esta especialidad OPEN BIC.
Patrico Seguel, en tanto, obtuvo el 8vo lugar en categoría 12 años entre 37 competidores.

Day four of the 2008 Fuerteventura Kitespeed Grand Slam saw one of the most thrilling kitespeed races of all times. The first leg brought some big surprises, but todays second heat outperformed everything looked at before.

The first heat started in winds averaging 20 knots, gusting 25, but on a much broader angle than yesterdays races. The favorites seemed to have not big enough kites for such conditions, and so it was up to Robert Douglas from the USA to get the victory. The favourites, first of all Alex Caizergues and Sebastien Cattelan struggeled with the conditions, and so it was up to Robert Douglas (USA) to snatch the victory ahead of Rolf van der Vlugt (NED) and Christophe Prin-Guenon (FRA).

When the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) announced in 2004 that the equipment used in the Olympic Games would be changed for 2008, selection trials, under the direction of the ISAF were conducted with the objective of choosing a new class of windsurfer. Against a wide range of alternatives, the NeilPryde RS:X was selected to be the new Olympic Windsurfer Class. With just 67 days to go until the RS:X will see its debut in Olympic competition, now is an opportune time to reflect on the first three years of RS:X sailing, events and organisation.
